Tracing the Watchers and Giants: A Reading Path Through Genesis and Enoch
Where does the text end—and an explanation begin? Start your reading path with Genesis. Read the surrounding passage and record what it says before consulting a theory about the Nephilim. Then read Enoch, keeping its wording and narrative separate in your notes. When you compare them, look beyond matching names. Compare actions, relationships, and context. Keep the translation and passage reference beside each observation so you can find it again. A useful distinction: “This passage says…” is different from “I think this connects to…” Both belong in research, but they should remain clearly labeled. A question can stay open without making the reading less worthwhile. The same care matters when exploring proposed connections to modern unexplained events.
