And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued. ... And Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam. ... where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant. ... These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
Several more sons of the giant in Gath fall to David's men, including one "of great stature" with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. The passage explicitly names them "born unto the giant in Gath."
This is the clearest biblical statement that the Gath giants were a bloodline: multiple named individuals, all "sons of the giant," one with the notable trait of polydactyly (twenty-four digits). It seals the connection between the conquest-era Anakim remnant and the Philistine giants of David's wars.

C.K. Quarterman treats this passage as decisive for the bloodline argument. The text names four separate giants, all "born unto the giant in Gath," one carrying the distinctive genetic trait of six fingers and six toes. That is not the language of legend, it is the language of genealogy: a documented family line with an inherited physical marker, traced across at least two generations, all sourced back to the same Gath remnant Joshua left standing.
