Azazel
Also known as: Asael, the scapegoat, leader of the Watchers
A chief among the Watchers in 1 Enoch, blamed for teaching humanity metalworking, weaponry, and cosmetics.
In 1 Enoch 8, Azazel teaches the making of swords, shields, and adornments — knowledge presented as corrupting.
He is bound and cast into darkness until the day of judgment (1 Enoch 10:4-6).
The name also appears in the Day of Atonement ritual (Leviticus 16), a connection long debated by scholars.
