Malaterrestrials

Malaterrestrial combines the Latin mala, meaning evil (the root of malicious and malevolent), with terrestrial, meaning of the Earth. The term was introduced in the book Disclosure: They Are Not Extraterrestrials.

The word makes two claims. The beings it describes are native to this world rather than visitors from other planets, and their contact with people has tended to cause harm. It does not include the holy angels of heaven.

The term is offered as an alternative to extraterrestrial, which frames unexplained encounters as a question of space travel and alien biology and often implies neutral or friendly visitors.

The framework compares effects reported after UFO encounters, such as burns, illness, fear, missing time, and failing machines, with effects described for centuries in accounts of spirit encounters. It treats several historical labels as describing one class of beings: the Watchers of the Book of Enoch, the fallen angels of the Bible, the demons of medieval writers, and the non-human intelligence named in recent congressional proposals.

Limits: most UFO reports are explained as balloons, planets, or aircraft, so the term applies at most to cases that remain unexplained. Not every contact report describes harm. The parallels with older spirit accounts have other possible explanations, including sleep paralysis and physiological fear responses. The judgment that these beings are evil rests on Scripture and on patterns in the reports.
