Nephilim
Also known as: the fallen ones, giants, sons of the Watchers
The offspring of the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men" described in Genesis 6, traditionally understood as giants.
The Nephilim (Hebrew: nephilim) appear in Genesis 6:4, "born to the sons of God and the daughters of men," and again in Numbers 13:33, where the spies compare themselves to grasshoppers before them.
Second Temple literature — most prominently 1 Enoch — identifies their fathers as the Watchers, a class of rebellious angelic beings who descended on Mount Hermon.
Their existence frames much of the biblical narrative of judgment, from the Flood to the conquest of Canaan.
