Anakim
Also known as: sons of Anak, Anakites, children of Anak
A clan of giants dwelling in Canaan, descended from Anak, feared by the Israelite spies.
The Anakim descended from Anak son of Arba (Joshua 15:13) and lived around Hebron.
In Numbers 13:33 the spies explicitly connect them to the Nephilim.
Caleb is later credited with driving the sons of Anak out of Hebron.
