Deuteronomy 32:8
When the Most High divided the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the peoples "according to the number of the sons of God" (per the Dead Sea Scrolls and Septuagint reading; the Masoretic Text, reflected in the KJV above, reads "children of Israel" instead).
Psalm 82:1, 6
God stands in the congregation of the mighty, judging among the "gods" (elohim). Verse 6 declares, "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High," followed by a pronouncement that they will die like men and fall like princes.
